The Moon Challah Tray by Laura Cowan
Laura created this contemporary design inspired by the craters on the moon’s surface combining geometric with organic by softening the rectangle shape of the plate with the round indentation.
This unique one of a kind Challah tray is crafted from one single piece of mirror-polished stainless steel. It is hand-pressed, meaning no two dishes are ever the same. The gentle dip for salt (or honey) is an integral part of the tray. Suitable for ripping challah, not cutting. Each one is signed by Laura.
Perfect as a Sabbath gift for any Jewish home.

More about Laura Cowan
Many of Laura's Judaica designs are inspired by the Sixties mission to land a man on the moon. Although this was achieved even before Laura was born, she was fascinated by the hype and excitement generated by the race to the moon. Laura also loves the irony of a futuristic design based on what is now history. Combining this with her Jewish upbringing and identity, Laura has produced many stunning pieces of modern Judaica.
